Nerd Night at the Museum: Leonardo in Contemporary Innovation
Phoenix Art Museum, 1625 N. Central Avenue Phoenix
website
Nerd Nite is, put simply, Learning + Drinking.
3 speakers give 18-21 minute presentations while the audience drinks along. Dive into the world of that moody, candle-lit overachiever of an era we call the Renaissance, and in particular, one of its most widely revered and enigmatic thinkers, Leonardo da Vinci. From Mnemotechnics to Fluid Dynamics to the Vitruvian Man's Hernia (maybe), our speakers riff off of themes from Leonardo da Vinci's Codex Leicester and the Power of Observation.
Ages 21+
Speakers include: Sha Xin Wei, Director ASU School of Arts, Media and Engineering and Topological Media Lab, and Ed Finn, ASU Director of Center for Science and the Imagination
Cost: Free event with reservations - RSVP at Phoenix.Nerdnite.com. Be there and be square!
